Dr. Alaa Kandil
As an Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Kandil enjoys being the patient’s primary physician, working with specialists, as needed, to coordinate the best care for his patients. Individualized attention, a personalized approach and comprehensive care for each patient are foremost priorities in his routine of treatment.
Dr. Kandil believes in developing a strong patient-physician relationship to improve patients’ quality of life and longevity. His patients value the time he takes to listen to their concerns, explain the diagnosis, answer questions and explore their treatment options.
Dr. Kandil completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Palliative Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital Center/New York Medical College. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Kandil has worked in various hospitals in the Northeast and in Florida and currently works at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL.
Born and raised in Egypt, Dr. Kandil received his medical degree in 2001. Since then, he practiced medicine in various clinical settings which left him with a broad range of medical experience and an ability to quickly assess critical situations and appropriately come up with an action plan. He has practiced medicine for more than 16 years, but never lost quest for new advancements in patient treatment.
In his leisure time, he enjoys bike riding and woodworking, building furniture with his semi-professional carpenter equipment. His ideal relaxing time is sitting by the ocean, drinking a cup of coffee with his wife and two children.
Dr Kandil enjoys welcoming every patient into the practice. He and the entire EraCare staff take pride in creating a warm and friendly environment and making treatment comfortable and convenient.
